A way in Time-lapse View to see the previous version of a line

When using the time-lapse view, I often want to see what the currently selected line looked like before the most recent change. Currently this involves manually dragging the slider to the left, until the line changes. It would be awesome if you could right-click on a block of text and say "go to the parent commit". This would then make the slider jump to the changelist before the text changed. Git GUI also has this feature. What would completely amazing, is if you could press CTRL+left/right to jump between previous and next versions of that line. As an aside, Git GUI allows you to click on the revision numbers on the left-hand side of the pane. This would also be a nice feature to have.
